February 1, 2024: Wethersfield, CT 06109 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) and the host Wethersfield Eagles (Wethersfield, CT), saw Northwest Catholic's basketball squad wallop Wethersfield by a tally of 67-24.
With the victory, Northwest Catholic improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Avon (Avon, CT) to play the Falcons in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Avon lost 59-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Manchester (Manchester, CT)
Next up, the Eagles play the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Wethersfield will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 60-29 league loss to Morgan (Clinton, CT).
