Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Boone Grove Wolves (Valparaiso, IN), saw Wheeler's basketball squad hold off Boone Grove by a tally of 48-42.

With the victory, Wheeler improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Wolves confront the Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 10. Boone Grove will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
