February 1, 2025: Big Lake, MN 55309 Apollo Eagles (St. Cloud, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN), 82-68 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Apollo upgrades its record to 10-7 on the year. The Eagles travel to Bemidji (Bemidji, MN) to face the Lumberjacks in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Lumberjacks enter the match with a record of 9-3. Bemidji won 58-46 in their recent league match against Elk River (Elk River, MN)
The Hornets now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Zimmerman for a AAA Section 5 match on Tuesday, February 4. Big Lake will face a Thunder squad coming off a 63-56 league loss to St. Francis (St. Francis, MN). The Thunder record now stands at 14-7.
