Kentucky High School Basketball - Archbishop Moeller fells Newport Central Catholic
February 1, 2025: Newport, KY 41071 The Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds to 54 in the Fighting Crusaders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Fighting Crusaders now possess a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Mason for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. Archbishop Moeller will confront a Comets team coming off a 59-26 league loss to Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH). The Comets record now stands at 3-14.
With the loss, Newport Central Catholic falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds host Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY) to confront the Colonels in a non-league game on Monday, February 3.
