Illinois High School Basketball - Cary-Grove can't hold off Palatine
February 1, 2025: Palatine, IL 60074 Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), 58-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Palatine upgrades its record to 14-12 on the year. The Pirates host Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL) to face the Saxons in a Mid-Suburban - West match on Friday, February 7. The Saxons enter the match with a record of 17-8.
The Trojans now sport a 15-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jacobs for a Fox Valley match on Tuesday, February 4. Cary-Grove will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 50-34 non-league loss to St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 13-11.
