In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Great Hearts Irving Mustangs basketball team scored a close 55-54 triumph over the Newman International Academy Warriors.

The Mustangs (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against International Leadership of Texas Keller (Fort Worth, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, International Leadership of Texas Keller nipped Uplift Elevate Prep (Fort Worth, TX), 55-25, in a non-league contest.
