The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Manitou Springs Mustangs (Manitou Springs, CO) and the host La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO), observed Manitou Springs's basketball team overcome La Junta by a score of 58-50.

The Mustangs (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Colorado Springs Christian (Colorado Springs, CO). The Lions come into the 4A/3A Tri-Peaks challenge with a 6-6 record.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. La Junta will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 67-32 league win over Ellicott (Calhan, CO).
