The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Simla Cubs (Simla, CO) and the host Merino Rams (Merino, CO), observed Simla's basketball team overwhelm Merino by a margin of 66-39.

The Cubs (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Kiowa (Kiowa, CO). The Indians come into the 2A Black Forrest challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Kiowa was trounced by Dayspring Christian Academy (Greeley, CO), 56-33, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Fleming Wildcats (Fleming, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Merino will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 62-40 non-league loss to Union Colony Prep (Greeley, CO).
