Iowa High School Basketball - Monticello defeats West Delaware
February 1, 2025: Monticello, IA 52310 The Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) basketball were winner over the visiting West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA), 53-44 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 15-5 record. They play next when they host Maquoketa for a River Valley bout on Tuesday, February 4. Monticello will play a Cardinals team coming off a 67-49 non-league loss to Beckman (Dyersville, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, West Delaware falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to play the Spartans in a WAMAC - East bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Solon won 66-56 in their recent non-league bout against Regina (Iowa City, IA)
