February 1, 2025: Avalon, CA 90704 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Aliso Niguel Wolverines (Aliso Viejo, CA) and the host Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA), observed Aliso Niguel's basketball team overwhelm Avalon by a score of 60-11.
The Wolverines (14-12) will now prepare for their challenge against San Clemente (San Clemente, CA). The Tritons come into the South Coast challenge with a 22-5 record. In their last challenge, San Clemente trounced San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA), 54-51, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lancers encounter the Newport Christian Seahawks (Newport Beach, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Avalon will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 49-35 league loss to Samueli Academy (Santa Ana, CA).
