California High School Basketball - Hesperia thwarts Quartz Hill

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hesperia Scorpions (Hesperia, CA) and the host Quartz Hill Royals (Quartz Hill, CA), observed Hesperia's basketball team knock off Quartz Hill by a score of 61-47.

The Scorpions (12-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Sultana (Hesperia, CA). The Sultans come into the Mojave River challenge with a 8-17 record. In their last challenge, Sultana dropped by Serrano (Phelan, CA), 51-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Royals encounter the Antelope Valley Antelopes (Lancaster, CA) in a Golden challenge, on Monday, February 3. Quartz Hill will attempt to improve on its 15-11 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 21-1 record after their 64-53 league win over Highland (Palmdale, CA).
