Illinois High School Basketball - Granite City tops Gateway Legacy Christian Academy
February 10, 2022: Granite City, IL 62040 Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions (Florissant, MO), 41-29 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Granite City upgrades its record to 16-12 on the campaign. The Warriors host Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 16. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 9-19.
Next up, the Lions play the Soldan International Studies Tigers (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 12. Gateway Legacy Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record.
