Texas High School Basketball - Whitharral overwhelms Amherst
February 10, 2023: Whitharral, TX 79380 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Whitharral Panthers (Whitharral, TX) and the visiting Amherst Bulldogs (Amherst, TX), saw Whitharral's basketball squad wallop Amherst by a tally of 75-38.
With the victory, Whitharral improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Meadow (Meadow, TX) to confront the Broncos in a 1A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 10-12. Meadow lost 67-56 in their recent league challenge against Whiteface (Whiteface, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Hedley Owls (Hedley, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 13. Amherst will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 78-51 league loss to Valley (Turkey, TX).
