In Friday's league match, the host Cedar Mountain Cougars basketball team scored a tight 53-52 triumph over the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN) in a A Section 2 match, on Monday, February 13. Cedar Mountain will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a 10-10 record after their 66-53 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, MN).
