Mississippi High School Basketball - Heritage Academy can't hold off Simpson Academy
February 10, 2023: Mendenhall, MS 39114 The Simpson Academy Cougars basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Heritage Academy Patriots to 34 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 21-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magnolia Heights for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 11. Simpson Academy will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 48-45 non-league win over Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-11.
The Patriots (19-6) will now prepare for their contest against Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 21-12 record. In their last contest, Leake Academy was nudged by Magnolia Heights (Senatobia, MS), 48-45, in a non-league contest.
