The Chopticon Braves basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Thomas Stone Cougars to 28 in the Braves league triumph on Friday.

The Braves now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Huntingtown for a Southern Maryland contest on Wednesday, February 15. Chopticon will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 60-44 league loss to Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-10.

The Cougars (0-11) will now prepare for their contest against Surrattsville (Clinton, MD). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Surrattsville was outscored by Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD), 67-36, in a league contest.
