Colorado High School Basketball - Gilpin County overwhelms Lyons
February 10, 2023: Lyons, CO 80540 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO) and the host Lyons Lions (Lyons, CO), saw Gilpin County's basketball squad wallop Lyons by a tally of 59-29.
With the victory, Gilpin County improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host North Park (Walden, CO) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. North Park won 43-32 in their recent league challenge against Vail Christian (Edwards, CO)
Next up, the Lions play the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles (Greeley, CO) in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Lyons will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 57-9 league win over Bishop Machebeuf (Denver, CO).
