Illinois High School Basketball - Breese Central tops Rockridge
February 10, 2024: Breese, IL 62230 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) and the visiting Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL), saw Breese Central's basketball squad knock off Rockridge by a count of 48-40.
With the victory, Breese Central upgrades its record to 28-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL) to play the Oilers in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Oilers come into the challenge with a record of 4-25. East Alton-Wood River lost 55-37 in their recent league challenge against Salem (Salem, IL)
Next up, the Rockets play the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Rockridge will attempt to upgrade on its 20-6 season record. The Grey Ghosts come into the challenge with a 16-13 record after their 50-39 league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL).
