Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mercyhurst Prep nudges Erie
February 10, 2024: Erie, PA 16508 Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Erie Royals (Erie, PA), 71-66 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mercyhurst Prep upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Lakers host North East (North East, PA) to clash with the Grape Pickers in a District 10 Region 3 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Grape Pickers go into the bout with a record of 13-6. North East won 36-25 in their recent non-league bout against Fairview (Fairview, PA)
Next up, the Royals clash with the Fort LeBoeuf Bison (Waterford, PA) in a District 10 Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Erie will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 65-54 league loss to General McLane (Edinboro, PA).
