Illinois High School Basketball - Griggsville-Perry overwhelms Lutheran
February 10, 2024: Griggsville, IL 62340 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes (Griggsville, IL) and the visiting Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL), saw Griggsville-Perry's basketball squad wallop Lutheran by a tally of 67-15.
With the victory, Griggsville-Perry improves its record to 24-5 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL) to play the Trojans in a Western Illinois Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 12-14. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia lost 57-32 in their recent league challenge against Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL)
Next up, the Crusaders play the South County Vipers (Franklin, IL) in a MSM challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 12-16 season record. The Vipers come into the challenge with a 21-8 record after their 54-43 non-league loss to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL).
