Alaska High School Basketball - Petersburg tops Susitna Valley
February 10, 2024: Petersburg, AK 99833 Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, AK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Susitna Valley Rams (Talkeetna, AK), 43-27 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Petersburg upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Metlakatla (Metlakatla, AK) to play the Chiefs in a 2A Southeast bout on Friday, February 16. The Chiefs come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Metlakatla lost 63-51 in their recent league bout against Wrangell (Wrangell, AK)
Next up, the Rams play the Tok Wolverines (Tok, AK) in a 2A Interior bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Susitna Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 65-46 non-league loss to Minto (Minto, AK).
