New Jersey High School Basketball - Union holds off Irvington
February 10, 2024: Union, NJ 07083 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Union Farmers (Union, NJ) and the visiting Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ), saw Union's basketball squad hold off Irvington by a margin of 47-45.
The Farmers (7-13) will now prepare for their test against Immaculata (Somerville, NJ). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, Immaculata was tipped by Mount St. Mary Academy (Watchung, NJ), 37-25, in a league test.
The Blue Knights now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Scotch Plains-Fanwood for a non-league test on Thursday, February 15. Irvington will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 61-51 non-league win over Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 13-11.
