Virginia High School Basketball - Westover Christian Academy topped by New Covenant

February 10, 2024: Danville, VA 24541

The New Covenant Gryphons basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs to 28 in the Gryphons non-league victory on Saturday.

The Gryphons now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Temple Christian for a non-league contest on Monday, February 12. New Covenant will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 44-33 non-league loss to Dayspring Christian Academy (Blacksburg, VA). The Crusaders record now stands at 10-8.

The Bulldogs (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Christian Heritage Academy was defeated by Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA), 23-13, in a non-league contest.
