The Mechanicsville Mustangs basketball squad (Mechanicsville, VA), was crushed 97-60 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA)

With the victory, New Kent advances its record to 21-0 on the year. The Trojans travel to Smithfield (Smithfield, VA) to meet the Packers in a Bay Rivers battle on Wednesday, February 12. The Packers enter the battle with a record of 17-3. Smithfield lost 70-67 in their recent league battle against Bruton (Williamsburg, VA)

The Mustangs now own a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atlee for a Capital battle on Friday, February 14. Mechanicsville will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 67-48 non-league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 18-1.
