Rhode Island High School Basketball - Middletown toppled by South Kingstown
February 10, 2025: Wakefield, RI 02879 South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), 80-66 in a league match.
With the victory, South Kingstown upgrades its record to 17-4 on the year. The Rebels travel to St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI) to face the Saints in a Division II match on Thursday, February 13. The Saints enter the match with a record of 8-13. St. Raphael Academy lost 67-59 in their recent non-league match against Classical (Providence, RI)
The Islanders now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Narragansett for a Division II match on Wednesday, February 12. Middletown will face a Mariners squad coming off a 66-57 league loss to Moses Brown (Providence, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 7-12.
