February 10, 2025: Donnellson, IA 52625 Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA), 56-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Central Lee advances its record to 11-11 on the year. The Hawks host Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA) to face the Golden Hawks in a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. The Golden Hawks enter the match with a record of 16-5. Mid-Prairie lost 53-45 in their recent league match against Regina (Iowa City, IA)
The Comets now own a 0-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Keota for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Cardinal will face a Eagles squad coming off a 69-17 league win over Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-10.
