In Monday's league contest, the host Staples Wreckers basketball team scored a good 56-44 triumph over the Danbury Hatters.

The Wreckers (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT). The Cadets go into the Fairfield County contest with a 4-2 record.

In their next game, the Hatters confront the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT) in a Fairfield County contest, on Friday, February 14. Danbury will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the contest with a 5-12 record after their 51-20 league win over Westhill (Stamford, CT).
