In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Port Allen Pelicans basketball team scored a good 44-35 triumph over the St. John Eagles.

The Pelicans (6-16) will now prepare for their contest against GEO Next Generation (Baton Rouge, LA). The Tigers go into the 3A District 6 contest with a 18-10 record. In their last contest, GEO Next Generation was topped by Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA), 61-6, in a league contest.
