Parkston Trojans (Parkston, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Canistota Hawks (Canistota, SD), 59-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Parkston upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Trojans host Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD) to clash with the Cavaliers in a A Region 5 bout on Monday, February 13. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Bon Homme lost 73-56 in their recent league bout against Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Howard Tigers (Howard, SD) in a B Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Canistota will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 58-27 league win over Mitchell Christian (Mitchell, SD).
