Illinois High School Basketball - Carterville trounces Vandalia
February 11, 2023: Carterville, IL 62918 The Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), 91-63 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions (21-6) will now prepare for their test against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 11-15 record. In their last test, Harrisburg was trounced by Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL), 56-39, in a league test.
The Vandals now own a 14-15 record. They play next when they travel to Pana for a South Central bout on Tuesday, February 14. Vandalia will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 56-53 non-league loss to Newton (Newton, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 15-14.
