The Central Catholic Fighting Irish basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Start Spartans to 37 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Fighting Irish now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clay for a non-league contest on Friday, February 17. Central Catholic will meet a Eagles team coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to St. John's Jesuit (Toledo, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 1-18.
