Massachusetts High School Basketball - Doherty Memorial edges Grafton
February 11, 2023: Grafton, MA 01519 The Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA) basketball nipped the host Grafton Gators (Grafton, MA), 70-65 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Highlanders (14-4) will now prepare for their test against South (Worcester, MA). The Colonials go into the Inter High test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, South was tipped by Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA), 51-46, in a non-league test.
The Gators now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Northbridge for a South Worcester County - A test on Tuesday, February 14. Grafton will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 73-64 non-league win over Bartlett (Webster, MA). The Rams record now stands at 6-10.
