Illinois High School Basketball - Elgin trounces Round Lake
February 11, 2023: Elgin, IL 60120 The Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Round Lake Panthers (Round Lake, IL), 70-35 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Maroons (11-19) will now prepare for their test against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Storm go into the Upstate Eight test with a 18-10 record. In their last test, South Elgin walloped Aurora East (Aurora, IL), 77-72, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-26 record. They play next when they host Antioch for a Northern Lake County test on Tuesday, February 14. Round Lake will encounter a Sequoits squad coming off a 51-28 non-league win over Ridgewood (Norridge, IL). The Sequoits record now stands at 15-13.
