February 11, 2023: New Britain, CT 06051 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the New London Whalers (New London, CT) and the host New Britain Golden Hurricanes (New Britain, CT), saw New London's basketball squad overcome New Britain by a tally of 68-58.
With the victory, New London improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Whalers travel to Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT) to confront the Wildcats in a Eastern Connecticut I challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. Norwich Free Academy won 97-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Hartford Public (Hartford, CT)
Next up, the Golden Hurricanes confront the Avon Falcons (Avon, CT) in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. New Britain will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 60-45 league loss to Southington (Southington, CT).
