South Dakota High School Basketball - Lead-Deadwood thwarts Bison
February 11, 2025: Lead, SD 57754 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers (Lead, SD) and the visiting Bison Cardinals (Bison, SD), observed Lead-Deadwood's basketball team knock off Bison by a score of 50-41.
The Golddiggers (4-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD). The Comets come into the A Region 8 challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Rapid City Christian prevailed over Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD), 57-50, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Harding County Ranchers (Buffalo, SD) in a B Region 8 challenge, on Monday, February 17. Bison will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Ranchers come into the challenge with a 17-0 record after their 71-50 non-league win over Tiospaye Topa (Ridgeview, SD).
