St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL), 50-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, St. Bede advances its record to 19-12 on the year. The Bruins host Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 7-23. Gardner-South Wilmington won 53-38 in their recent league match against Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL)
