The Van Wert Cougars basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Kenton Wildcats to 54 in the Cougars league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crestview for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 15. Van Wert will battle a Knights team coming off a 49-40 non-league win over Tinora (Defiance, OH). The Knights record now stands at 14-5.

The Wildcats (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Ottawa-Glandorf (Ottawa, OH). The Titans enter the Western Buckeye contest with a 19-2 record. In their last contest, Ottawa-Glandorf ran past Lexington (Lexington, OH), 59-40, in a non-league contest.
