Millard North Mustangs (Omaha, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE), 67-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Millard North upgrades its record to 19-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Creighton Prep (Omaha, NE) to clash with the Junior Jays in a A District TBD bout on Tuesday, February 15. The Junior Jays go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Creighton Prep lost 71-57 in their recent non-league bout against Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Lincoln Southeast Knights (Lincoln, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Pius X will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 68-45 league win over Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE).
