February 12, 2023: Craig, AK 99921 The Craig Panthers held off the visiting Skagway Panthers basketball team by a tally of 48-46 in Sunday's non-league battle.
The Panthers now possess a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Haines for a 2A Southeast battle on Friday, February 17. Craig will confront a Glacier Bears team coming off a 72-69 non-league loss to Effie Kokrine Charter (Fairbanks, AK). The Glacier Bears record now stands at 4-8.
The Panthers (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Klawock (Klawock, AK). The Chieftains come into the 1A Southeast battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Klawock was nudged by Angoon (Angoon, AK), 61-60, in a league battle.
