Michigan High School Basketball - Alcona can't hold off Johannesburg-Lewiston
February 12, 2024: Lincoln, MI 48742 The Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Alcona Tigers to 36 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Monday.
The Cardinals now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Lake for a Ski-Valley contest on Friday, February 16. Johannesburg-Lewiston will battle a Trojans team coming off a 42-39 league win over Forest Area (Fife Lake, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 3-13.
The Tigers (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pinconning (Pinconning, MI). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Pinconning was nudged by Roscommon (Roscommon, MI), 62-26, in a non-league contest.
