In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host West St. John Rams basketball team scored a good 37-27 triumph over the West Jefferson Buccaneers.

The Rams (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 11-10 record.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. West Jefferson will attempt to better on its 7-21 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 18-12 record after their 59-10 non-league win over Fisher (Lafitte, LA).
