The Spearfish Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Custer Wildcats to 38 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rapid City Christian for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 17. Spearfish will clash with a Comets squad coming off a 66-45 non-league win over Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD). The Comets record now stands at 11-7.

The Wildcats (4-13) will now prepare for their outing against Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD). The Golddiggers enter the A Region 8 outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Lead-Deadwood was defeated by Mahpiya Luta (Pine Ridge, SD), 77-40, in a non-league outing.
