In Thursday's non-league match, the host Texas Tigers softball team scored a nice 18-1 triumph over the DasCHE Spartans.

Next, the Tigers confront the Longview Lobos (Longview, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 13. Texas will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Lobos go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 7-4 non-league win over Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX).

The Spartans (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Sulphur Springs toppled Mineola (Mineola, TX), 15-2, in a non-league outing.
