The Plano Wildcats (Plano, TX) softball nipped the host Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), 8-7 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Wildcats now have a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marble Falls for a non-league test on Friday, February 13. Plano will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-1 non-league win over McNeil (Austin, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX). The Mules come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Alamo Heights was tipped by Tivy (Kerrville, TX), 4-1, in a league outing.
