Louisiana High School Basketball - St. James nips Ascension Catholic
February 13, 2023: St. James, LA 70090 St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA), 75-72 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. James upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Berwick (Berwick, LA) to play the Panthers in a 3A District 8 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-10.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Ascension Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 14-13 season record. The go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 50-42 non-league win over Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA).
