Illinois High School Basketball - Metro-East Lutheran topped by Alton
February 13, 2024: Alton, IL 62002 The Alton Redbirds basketball team scored 75 points and restricted the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights to 63 in the Redbirds non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Redbirds now sport a 17-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Collinsville for a Southwestern contest on Friday, February 16. Alton will battle a Kahoks team coming off a 30-29 league loss to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Kahoks record now stands at 26-4.
The Knights (6-19) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Madison, IL). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Madison was defeated by Meridian (Mounds, IL), 59-39, in a non-league contest.
