South Dakota High School Basketball - McCook Central/Montrose thwarts Tri-Valley
February 13, 2024: Colton, SD 57018 The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD) basketball knocked off the host Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD), 68-60 in Tuesday's league test.
The Fighting Cougars (6-12) will now prepare for their test against West Central (Hartford, SD). The Trojans go into the A Region 3 test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, West Central notched a victory over Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD), 67-33, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Baltic for a A Region 3 test on Monday, February 19. Tri-Valley will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 62-53 non-league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-7.
