Illinois High School Basketball - Wethersfield can't hold off Princeville
February 13, 2024: Kewanee, IL 61443 The Wethersfield Flying Geese basketball team (Kewanee, IL), was nudged 58-55 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL)
The Princes now sport a 25-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stark County for a Lincoln Trail battle on Thursday, February 15. Princeville will battle a Rebels team coming off a 43-42 league loss to Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Rebels record now stands at 18-11.
The Flying Geese (11-16) will now prepare for their battle against Galva (Galva, IL). The Wildcats come into the Lincoln Trail battle with a 8-20 record. In their last battle, Galva was nudged by Knoxville (Knoxville, IL), 56-45, in a league battle.
