Georgia High School Soccer - Clarke Central nudges Oconee County
February 13, 2024: Athens, GA 30605 Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gladiators confront the Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) in a 5A Area 8 challenge, on Friday, February 16. Clarke Central will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Madison County (Danielsville, GA).
The Warriors now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cherokee Bluff for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. Oconee County will confront a Bears team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA). The Bears record now stands at 4-1.
