Alliance Bulldogs (Alliance, NE) backers went home thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team smash the visiting Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE), 72-40 in a non-league contest.

The Bulldogs (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, NE). The Minutemen go into the non-league contest with a 2-18 record. In their last contest, Lexington was trounced by Adams Central (Hastings, NE), 68-46, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Potter-Dix Coyotes (Potter, NE) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 15. Hyannis will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Coyotes enter the match with a 5-13 record after their 59-54 non-league loss to Arthur County (Arthur, NE).
